The accompanying files include Preview Editor Lite and its documentation. This is an XTension that is designed to run with QuarkXPress 3.31 and higher.

Preview Editor Lite adds information to the QuarkXPress document╒s resource fork so that Portfolio can display thumbnails of the actual document╒s pages instead of the generic QuarkXPress document icon. The Preview Editor Lite XTension works in the background, adding data to documents whenever the files are opened or saved.

You can register your copy of Preview Editor Lite by either fax or email. Either way, make sure you send your name, address, phone number and email address. The commercial version of Preview Editor allows you to enter a description and a list of keywords in QuarkXPress which are then used when the QuarkXPress document is cataloged in Portfolio. Keywords and/or a description can automatically be added to every QuarkXPress document saved to attach a kind of a ╥signature╙ to the document which is readable through Portfolio. Additionally, Preview Editor lets the user choose which page of the document is used in the thumbnail and Finder icon to make it easy to recognize a document at a glance.
